Cool things for kids to do in Cape
Town:
- the penguin colony at Boulders (just beyond Simon's
Town on the way to Cape Point)
- The Two Oceans Aquarium (shark feeding is at
3.00pm)
- Trip to Seal Island from Hout Bay harbour (allow an
hour)
- World of Birds in Hout Bay
- An Ostrich Farm (there is one near the entrance to
Cape Point, another on the N7 freeway)
- The Cheetah Experienceat Spier estate (on the R310
on the way to Stellenbosch)
- The Raptor Experienceright next door to the
Cheetah Experienceat Spier estate (on the R310 on the way to
Stellenbosch)
- Butterfly World, just off the N1 on the way to
Paarl
- 'Scratch Patch' - fill a bag with semi precious
stones - there is one at the Waterfront and another just before Simon's
Town

- Putt Putt (crazy golf) - course by the sea at Three
Anchor Bay near Sea Point, also in Muizenberg
- The entertainers at the V&A Waterfront (roving
jugglers, mime artists etc)
- The Cable Car up Table Mountain
- The SA Museum & Planteariumin the Company
Gardens
- Ratanga Junction theme park at Century City on the
N1 freeway just outside the centre of Cape Town - you can spend a whole day
there. Only open in season.
Some kids will also
enjoy Kirstenbosch gardens and Groot Constantia.
