Sandy Bay is Cape Town's unofficial gay and nudist beach. It is at the far end of Llandudno, tucked away in a spectacular setting about 10 minutes walk from the car park, completely unpretentious and uncrowded, with great rocks for sunbathing. The perfect place to bare all.

Much closer to town is Clifton (four beautiful, sheltered beaches). Everyone who is anyone goes to tan at Clifton. All the gym boys draped in designer speedo's and swimsuits or some in the least they could possibly wear to hold it all in. Favourite boys' beach is Clifton Three
