Camping and Caravaning In Cape Town
|

|
- There are many hundreds of caravan and campsites around
South Africa - but very few in Cape Town!
- The ones to head for are in the South Peninsula, which is
an hour from Cape Town centre, but well located for Cape Point, Constantia and
great beaches.
- For good camping head north for three hours to the
Cederberg. The Parks Board have a site at Algeria and there are sites at
Dwarsrivier and Kromrivier run by the ubiquitous Nieuwoudt family.

| The caravan (available for hire) and
campsites in the South Peninsula are:
- the Fish Hoek Caravan Park, right on the beach.
- Oatlands Holiday Village has both caravans for hire
and campsites. Well located close to the penguin colony in Boulders, outside
Simon's Town.
- Soetwater Caravan Park, between Kommetjie and
Scarborough.
- also try the Chapman's Peak Caravan Park
- there is a caravan park near the winelands and Gordon's
Bay called Hendon Park
